The bottom flooring of the house options bedrooms and courtyards, while the primary flooring has residing areas related to an indoor-outdoor walkway. The roof of the house is topped with a plunge pool.
“The city limitations of the plot have led us to maximise the inside area, connecting it with the outside horizontally and vertically by a system of porches and inside courtyards,” Ventura instructed Dezeen.
Because of strict municipal ordinances requiring new buildings to be offset from the road and neighbouring plots, the ensuing home is simply three metres large.
The studio designed the house to maximise the size of the nook plot it sits on, and to convey gentle into the house.
The exterior facade of the house was outlined by its concrete construction, which establishes a rhythm of double-height columns that rise as much as meet the roof.
Internally, the rooms of the home reply to the rhythm of the construction. The house is accessed alongside a pathway that runs the size from the road to the entrance door.
On coming into, a curved staircase coated in pure lime stucco results in the residing areas on the primary flooring. The bottom flooring homes two bedrooms which have a direct connection to the courtyards.
“The courtyards, regardless of their small measurement, enable us to convey the backyard to the higher flooring and generate a filter with the road, to achieve privateness within the bedrooms at road stage,” the studio defined.
The lounge sits on the centre of the plan on the primary flooring, whereas the eating room and kitchen bookend the home at both finish and are related by the walkway.
The walkway is punctuated with wood blinds which might be opened to the weather, or closed to mitigate photo voltaic good points and supply shading.
The inside areas are completed in stucco, terrazzo and pine, offering a heat and naturalness to all areas. The pine is sustainably sourced from Spain, while aggregates used within the terrazzo are from the rapid locality.
