Angular steel canopies shelter Indian home by Malik Structure

A jagged steel roofscape shelters giant open terraces on the Lateral Verandah Home, a dwelling close to Pune, India, designed by native studio Malik Structure.
The house sits on a steep, densely forested web site with dramatic views of the Tung Fort ruins to the east, shut to a different residential venture by the studio.
Referencing this historic fort, Lateral Verandah Home was constructed on a plinth of uncooked basalt stone, which steps down the positioning’s slope to create a gradual shift in ranges.
