Angular steel canopies shelter Indian home by Malik Structure

A jagged steel roofscape shelters giant open terraces on the Lateral Verandah Home, a dwelling close to Pune, India, designed by native studio Malik Structure.

Referencing this historic fort, Lateral Verandah Home was constructed on a plinth of uncooked basalt stone, which steps down the positioning’s slope to create a gradual shift in ranges.

The house is organised throughout two ranges, with sleeping and mechanical areas housed within the stone base and residing areas opening onto giant terraces occupying the brilliant and open higher stage.
